making a digital collage journal for media

Something I’ve been super interested in since I was young are collages. Each one is so unique and expresses something different. I always thought it was a great way to express yourself while being creative. I used to collage a bit when I was younger with newspaper and magazine clippings (back when we had the subscriptions). But ever since things have been digitized, I haven’t been able to.

Recently, I came across digital collages and my interest was piqued once again, especially because I got an iPad for school. Though there will probably be a bit of a learning curve (digital and tangible collages are very different), I thought that I would attempt to start creating again.

Another thing about me is that I love all kinds of media. Books, T.V shows, movies, podcasts. Literally, anything you can think of. Though this blog is new, I’ve already posted about books and I will continue posting about all of these kinds of media because I thought “if I’m going to spend so much time on these things, I might as well share my experiences and thoughts with the world”.

So basically, I want to create collages of all the books, shows, movies, podcasts, news articles, events, etc. that I consume this year, and compile them into a digital journal. Hopefully, I can do this for longer but for now, I’m setting the goal of one year.

To give you an idea, here’s one of the collages I have completed this year for one of my favorite songs: the lakes by Taylor Swift.

If you like collages like this, want to learn how to make them, or just want to join me on this journey, make sure to follow my blog and socials! My next collage is going to be based on Taylor Swift’s song, “cowboy like me”.
